Crazy couple months of surfing!!!

Aloha...
It has been awhile since I posted anything on the blog. I have been very busy with surf contests and getting ready for the NSSA Nationals at Huntington beach and Surfing America Championships at Lowers.
Recently I surfed in the HSA State championships and did really well. I made it the finals and placed 3rd. That contest was a lot of fun. First of all it was held at bowls and I surfed in a total of six rounds and to include the finals out there. Then we went to the award banquet at jimmy buffets. I got to hang out with all my friends there. and of course I cant forget that I got my third place trophy. All i can say it was fun.
With my third place finish I qualified to surf in the Surfing America Championships at Lower Trestles Ca. I cant wait it going to fun.

As for the Hawaii NSSA Regionals Championships, I surfed in the four division that I've been surfing all year. I made it to the finals in three of the four division. I had a second in the Explorer Super Grom, third in the Open Mini Grom and sixth in the Explorer Menehune.
With my finishes I qualifed to surf four divisions in the NSSA Nationals at Huntington beach. But Im only going to surf in two of the four divisions. The two divisions are Open Mini Grom and Explorer Super Grom.

The 2011/2012 NSSA season just started recently. The recent contest was held at Kewalos. I surfed in two division and I made it to the the finals in each one. I place first in the Explorer Menehune and placed second in the Open Boys. I think it was a great start for the new season.

Awards

Finally we have the most recent contest that I surfed in was the Local Motion Surf into Summer at Bowls. This was another great event to surf in because it was fun and they give away prizes through out the event.

Wow...As you can see I have been really busy lately. and Its going to be a crazy up coming month with the Nationals. will try to update from the mainland. if not I will provide a full report once i get back.

Freestyle Watches

Devin just received another set of great freestyle watches the other day. I tell you what when a box comes in with his name on it he's all smiles. After opening the box he's stoke to find A gromtide and shark watch that he likes to wear while surfing or just cruzing around.

Volcom QS at Maili Point

Aloha...
I just competed in the VQS at Maili point. It was a fun contest. In the morning the waves was about 4 feet and really fun to surf. During my finals I had two really long waves that went all the way to the inside. I had fun surfing those waves. The bad thing I had to paddle all the way back out. I only caught three wave in the finals but I had a lot fun on those waves and I got to surf with some of my friends (Finn, Baron, and  Makana) in the finals.

In the end I placed 3rd in the finals. I think I also qualified to surf  the Volcom contest at Newport beach Cali.. I hope I did.

Happy New Year

On winter break my sister's friend Tia came to visit Hawaii but most importantly my family. Also her other family members (aunty Sina, uncle Simon, and Aja) came from cali too. I had such a great time surfing for 14 days straight with them. There's a video coming up about those two weeks with the Blancos.

Hanging with the Hurley Cru

Hi...
Yesterday I went to Blue Hawaii Surf to hang with the Hurley Surf Team. I got a poster signed by the team and a free hat. Plus I got see my friend Joel who rip's. Thanks Blue Hawaii and Hurley for the invite and of course the free hat's and poster.

Alooha...

It has been awhile since I gave you an update...We are almost done setting up the house. that means we get to surf more very soon. Thats good news.
This is how today went. First I went school (fun) then after school I had to walk home for the first time. That  was a one mile walk to my house (not fun). Once Home I went straight to my home work because I knew I was going to go surf when my dad got home.
My dad finally got home and we loaded the truck with our boards and my new Dennis Pang surfboard. Then we went to Hau Bush, it was really nice but it was small (1 to 2 feet). It was only my Dad, Nicole, uncle Bobby and myself out and thats the way I like it...nobody out, glassy, and lining up nice.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!! I hope we get to surf sometime soon. We moved into our new house yesterday and today is turkey day. Oh well hopefully tomorrow I get to surf. Keeping my finger crossed.

Kewalos surfing today

Aloha... today my dad took Nicole and I to Kewalos to surf.  Kewalo's was really good and we didn't want to tell anyone. Because it was empty the whole day with some really nice two foot waves and some a little bigger.
I had a hard time waking up this morning but it was worth it.

Surf this Weekend

I hope we get to surf somewhere that has waves this weekend...North, South, or Westside of Oahu. It would be nice to surf on the outer islands also. But there is no contest to go to this weekend. So Oahu it is. Where to go is the the question. If you have any suggestions let me know.
